Two victims were pronounced dead at \u200bthe scene. The conditions of the remaining victims \u2060were not immediately known.<\/p>\n<p>The shooting occurred in Midtown \u200bToronto during the Salsa on St. Clair festival, an \u200bannual Latin festival, according to CTV News.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities urged the public to avoid the area and follow all directions from police as \u200bthe investigation and response continued.<\/p>\n<p>Canadian Prime Minister Mark \u200bCarney said he was &#8220;horrified&#8221; by the shooting and said the \u200cpolice \u2060had his full support in their efforts to apprehend those responsible, in a post on X.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;My prayers are with the families grieving their loved ones, those \u200bwho are in \u200bcritical condition \u2060and everyone who has been affected by this horrific event,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>A Toronto \u200bPolice spokesperson declined to provide additional details \u200bbeyond \u2060the information posted on the department&#8217;s official feed on X.<\/p>\n<p>Police said updates would be provided as more information \u2060became \u200bavailable.
